This privacy policy sets out how LONIC uses and protects any information we collect or that you provide to us. Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it.

LONIC is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected.  Should we ask you to provide or confirm certain information by which you can be identified you can be reassured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

Having conducted a Legitimate Interest Assessment as prescribed under the General Data Protection Regulations 2018, we wish to exercise our right to use legitimate interest as the grounds for collecting and processing data as referred to in Recital 47 “The processing of personal data for direct marketing purposes may be regarded as carried out for a legitimate interest”.

LONIC may change this policy so please check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. This policy is effective from 14th May 2018.

Information We Collect
We may collect, verify and process the following about you in order to understand your needs and provide you with a service you may require:

  • Name and job title
  • Contact information including telephone number and email address
  • Demographic information such as postcode

Other information we may collect includes:

  • Details of your visits to our site including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data and other communication data.
  • If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence for internal record keeping purposes, provide you with information that you request from us or which we feel may be of interest to you, notify you of changes to our service, improve our services and to customise our website to meet your needs.

LONIC takes the security and privacy of your personal information seriously. We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. However, we will do our best to protect your personal data. We cannot protect the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk.  Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

Your Rights
When contacting you for the above purposes, unless you tell us otherwise we may do so by phone, post or email or any other way (electronic or otherwise).

You may request details of personal information we hold about you under current legislation and regulations. If you would like a copy of the information held on you please contact us. This may incur a small administrative fee.

If you believe that any information we hold on you is incorrect or incomplete, please contact us and we will adjust accordingly.

Disclosure Of Your Information
We may process your personal information for certain direct marketing purposes i.e. provide postal communications, email marketing campaigns or telephone calls (directly from ourselves or on behalf of another) on property management issues which we believe may be of interest to you.

Whenever your personal data is processed for these purposes we will ensure that we always keep your Personal Data rights in high regards and take account of these rights. You have the right to object to this processing at any point in time (see How to Contact LONIC.) Please bear in mind that, if you object, this may affect our ability to carry out the tasks above for your benefit.

Unfortunately, due to the existing regulatory environment, we cannot ensure that all private communications and other personally identifiable information will never be disclosed in ways not otherwise described in this policy. We may be forced to disclose information to the government or third parties under certain circumstances, or third parties may intercept or access transmissions or private communications. We can (and you authorise us to) disclose any information about you to law enforcement or other government officials as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate in connection with an investigation of fraud, intellectual property rights infringements, or other activity that is illegal or may expose us to legal liability.

Any changes we make to our privacy policy in the future will be posted on our website and, where appropriate, notified to you by email.

We shall at all times comply with the Data Protection Act 1998, the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 and the General Data Protection Regulations 2018, as amended, extended, re-enacted or replaced from time to time, and all applicable laws and regulations relating to the processing of personal data and privacy and the equivalent of any of the foregoing in any relevant jurisdiction.
